There's a call back function available in the BullZip software which can be activated when a PDF creation is complete, but the honest truth is I haven't truly fleshed that option out yet, and I'm not sure it's required. On average a typical PDF creation takes roughly 1.25 seconds on my fairly decent development workstation. If you do, the only way you'll be able to select the BullZIP PDF Printer is if you make it your default printer! REALLY IMPORTANT!!! Don't make the mistake of including ANY printer information into any Report FRX file. The software driver simply doesn't provide that functionality. Regrettably, no matter how many different ways I tried, it's impossible to generate the PDF straight to file from within the VFP "REPORT TO FILE" option.

The goal is to know when the PDF creation is complete, and to then read the file into a string which is ultimately passed back as an "application/pdf" hit. Please Note: The settings you see in my code snippet are the result of many MANY trial and error attempts to find out what works and what doesn't work, LOLĪfter the Report is generated to the BullZip PDF printer, you'll note a DO WHILE loop which attempts to open the finished PDF exclusively for roughly 4 seconds.

#BULLZIP DOWNLOAD HOW TO#
The good news is it works and it's very good quality (you can choose the quality settings if you wish), but it did take me about 10 hours from start to finish searching for the right information on how to format the various input flags etc to get it to work in a fully programmatic fashion. The software can be downloaded with full licensing, for free, with no hassles or any obligations at this link. The BullZIP PDF Printer is the free "not many options" version of the more professional bioPDF software system (which also has full programmatic options). Hi everyone, I recently played around with the BullZip PDF Printer Software and I figured I should share some of my code to assist any other FoxPro programmers if they ever decide to also use this software.
